I was immediately drawn to this blog post because I am currently trying to help my friends start a website and get a good traffic flow. Publicizing a website is more difficult than I thought it would be. I had never heard of “link directories” to be honest and now I think I may have just hit the jackpot to help my friends. You pointed out everything I have been doing to get a flow of traffic such as spending time sending press releases and trying to use all forms of social media to publicize. However, I still think all those things are good tools especially Twitter. Using Twitter as PR strategy to help optimize my website traffic is going to be a huge success in my opinion. I plan to combine your link directory approach and social media for the future. Thank you for this post it really does help me.
